PM Modi releases Ram Temple postal stamps. See pics

Prime Minister Narendra Modi released commemorative postage stamps dedicated to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya ahead of the consecration ceremony.

The stamps are intricately designed and contain six distinct components of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir.

The components include the Ram Temple, the Choupai 'Mangal Bhavan Amangal Hari..', a depiction of the sun, the sacred Saryu River and sculptures of the Ram Temple. 

The six stamps within the collection represent key figures and elements from the Ramayana including the Ram Temple, Lord Ganesh, Lord Hanuman, Jatayu, Kevatraj and Ma Shabri.

Five physical elements, also known as the Panchabhutas - sky, air, fire, earth and water have been incorporated into these stamps.

PM Modi also released a 48-page book showcasing stamps issued by more than 20 countries including the United States, New Zealand, Singapore, Canada, Cambodia, and even by international organisations such as the United Nations.

The book features stamps from around the world honouring Lord Ram. 

This collection of stamps is aimed to highlight the universal appeal and influence of Lord Ram on diverse societies across the world.
