Adults who have received the Covaxin or Covishield vaccine will be able to get Corbevax only after 6 months or 26 weeks from the date of the second dose. According to the information, in the form of booster dose, the existing guidelines will be amended soon. Changes are also being made in the guidelines related to the use of Corbevax vaccine as a booster on the Covin portal.

The study was conducted by the Kovid Working Group in July.
The COVID Working Group (CWG), in its meeting on July 20, reviewed the data from the double-blind randomized phase-3 clinical study. Based on this, its effect was assessed after implanting an adult. In subsequent results, the CWG found that there was an increase in antibodies after the Corbevax vaccine was applied as a booster.

The Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) on June 4 approved Corbevax as a booster dose for people aged 18 years and above.
